Incredible week! Harvey made the Warren Times Observer on Thursday. The set and props are done and in place on stage. The costumes are done and make the cast look like they are right out of the 40’s and really help the cast get into character. The cast and crew have all worked very hard to get this play ready for the stage. We are sure you will enjoy this great comedy. We open this coming Thursday and can’t wait for you to SEE Harvey!

Lou Cable (Director) – I have been acting since I was 4 years old and done every aspect of community theater except for lights and sound. I’m not sure which aspect I enjoy most but just being involved is a wonderful experience. I am constantly amazed at the talent in Warren and so proud of my cast and crew. Hope you enjoy the show.
K Cruickshank (Mrs. Chauvenet) – I’ve been a Warren Players person for a very long time. I’ve been on stage, back stage and every thing in between. HARVEY has always been a favorite of mine. Thank you Lou for letting me be part of your production.
Karin Davidson (Veta Louise) – Karin is a veteran of the Warren Players, having graced the stage for over 20 years. Some of her favorite characters are: “Lady Thiang”, “Mary” Jesus’ mother, Cinderella’s “Fairy Godmother” and “Nettie”, as 83 year old blind, Jewish lady. Wife of Jim, mother of Christian & Katrina and grandmother of Cara & Reuben, who she considers her greatest accomplishments. Karin is a substitute teacher for WCSD and is also an enrichment teacher for Century 21. Veta hopes that you will invite Myrtle to tea.
Tom Devereaux (Dr. Chumley) – After a small amount of arm twisting in August of 2012, Tom rekindled his long dormant romance with the stage, became a part of the Warren Players/Struthers Library Theatre family. Since then he has performed in three different shows (including HARVEY) on stage and taken on backstage roles in two other productions. Tom is a proud husband and father and is employed by Beacon Light as the Director of the Outpatient Clinic. Tom would like to thank Jen for being “the best Production Manager ever” and catering to all of his diva needs.
Jean Gomory (Nurse Kelly) – Jean’s first experience with Warren Players was as fiddle-playing “Cousin Beula Mae” in Smoke on the Mountain in 2007; one of two characters written in for some additional musical back-up. She also played the violin in the orchestra for Titanic which was an unforgettable experience. Jean’s most recent excursions on the Struthers Library Theater stage were as a member of the ensemble in the musical Phantom, and as “Miss Casewell” in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. Jean feels very blessed to be a part of such a great legacy and fortunate to work with such groups of very fun people.
Corey Gordon (Assistant Director) – Corey has decided to spread his theatrical wings and fly in a new direction with Harvey. He has been involved with Players both on and off stage since the 1990’s, and has always wanted to direct. Now, studying under one of his favorite directors of numerous shows past, Lou Cable, he is learning the fine detail and hard work that goes into creating a show from the floorboards up. He hopes this experience will prepare him to lead a production of his own in the future. “Perhaps after the show, we can all go down to Charlie’s bar and have a drink.”
Bill Hill Jr. (E.J. Lofgren) – Thanks to Lou Cable, Bill is pleased to have a part but with very few lines to learn. As a veteran actor and director, Bill has appeared at all four of Warren Players venues. He follows in the large footsteps of his father who was one of Players’ charter members.
Ron Keeney (Wilson) – There is nothing better than watching a good comedy—except for being in one! A veteran of Warren Players, Ron’s last expedition onto the Struthers Library Theatre stage was as “Trotter” in The Mousetrap. Ron is having a great time with such a fun group of talented people and is happy to be part of this production. Enjoy the show!
Denis Meabon (Judge Gaffney) – Harvey is my first play. From the beginning I have looked forward to the journey. I have learned a wealth of knowledge thus far. I am over joyed for the days to come and I hope you join us to see how the journey ends. Carpe Diem!
Jen Morley (Production Manager) – A 20-plus year veteran of Warren Players, Jen would like to thank her family, friends and co-workers for their constant support and encouragement and Dawn for keeping her sane.
Melissa Port (Mrs. Chumley) – Melissa is thrilled to be making her non-musical debut in a Warren Players production in Harvey. Prior to this, she portrayed a stewardess in the Warren Players production of TITANIC: the Musical in 2009. (Sadly, she did not survive the sinking). Melissa works at the Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems’ Outpatient clinic. In her free time, Melissa enjoys traveling with her husband, Rob, playing with her 3 dogs, reading, shopping and all things musical. She looks forward to being involved in more Players productions.
Dawn Sears (Myrtle Mae) – Dawn is thrilled to be appearing in a role for the first time in a non-musical production. She has been a part of numerous shows throughout the years, both on stage and behind the scenes. This role has been particularly challenging as Myrtle is a very stuck up and self centered character. Dawn would like to thank Jen for her rigorous character coaching and her parents for raising her in a way that made playing this role difficult.
Michael Sternberg (Dr. Sanderson) – A great man probably once said that “All art is sacrifice.” I had to cut my flowing auburn locks to fully become the character of Dr. Lyman Sanderson. Fortunately my strength did not leave me as it did the mythical Samson although I wasn’t that strong to begin with. Some would argue that I was much more handsome with my hair while others would not. To each their own. All I know is now my shower won’t get clogged by my shedding anymore.
