A Year With Frog and Toad
Due to the new mandate from Governor Wolf communicated late yesterday afternoon that went into affect starting at midnight July 16, 2020, Warren Players has been forced to shut down the show "A Year With Frog And Toad". It has been a long journey for this show as it was supposed to debut in mid May. With the postponing we have had people drop out, due to prior commitments, because of the dates getting changed. The Struthers Library Theatre was gracious enough to let Warren Players put on a free show last night as we knew this would be the only performance. Everyone involved put on an amazing show. Thank you to the people that jumped in at the last minute and helped put on the finishing touches. The pieces fell together and tonight's show was amazing. But kudos to Caitie Webster for directing a great show. Through all the trials and tribulations from the show starting in March and ending in July, we almost got a full Year Of Frog And Toad.

A Year With Frog and Toad is a musical written by brothers Robert (music) and Willie Reale (book and lyrics), based on the Frog and Toad children's stories written and illustrated by Arnold Lobel. The musical follows the woodland adventures of two amphibious friends, a worrywart toad and a perky frog, with their assorted colorful hopping, crawling and flying companions, over the course of a year. The show broke new ground by bringing professional children's theatre to Broadway, sparking the interest of the age 3-to-10 set.
